Former Charlton and West Ham man makes Super Lig move

first_imgFormer West Ham and Bolton striker Ricardo Vaz Te has signed an 18-month deal at Turkish club Akhisar Belediyespor.The 29-year-old was released by Charlton on transfer deadline day after a miserable spell at The Valley, during which he made just 12 league appearances since November without scoring.However, it has not taken long for Vaz Te to get fixed up with a new side after agreeing a return to his old club in Turkey for the next year-and-a-half.The Portuguese forward spent six months with Akhisar Belediyespor before joining Charlton and impressed with five goals in 14 Super Lig outings.And now Vaz Te, who once scored the play-off final goal which secured West Ham’s return to the Premier League in 2012, will get the chance to resurrect his career back in Turkey.
