JFF president Captain Horace Burrell dead at 67

first_imgPRESIDENT of the Jamaica Football Federation (JFF) Captain Horace Burrell has died. He was 67.Captain Burrell had been ailing for some time and spent some time in hospital. Reports said he died in hospital in the United States yesterday.The JFF president was hospitalised a year ago after falling ill and was hospitalised prior to the start of the Copa America Centenario tournament.The federation issued a statement confirming that Captain Burrell was undergoing a series of tests but did not disclose the type of illness.Burrell was elected president of the JFF in 1994 and was the force behind the Jamaican National team qualifying for the 1998 FIFA World Cup in France.(Sportsmax)last_img
