There are no other legitimate reasons for him being on the premises” Theft and assault aren’t really “legitimate” reasons for him to be there either. He has just paid off the city in fees so he has no” REAL” legal record. His name has been in many police reports listed on this site and the Wellington paper. So now that he has committed a “REAL” crime and hurt someone of ” importance” something will be done? Hmm…. it’s called methamphetamine Wellingtonians and something needs to be done about it! Report Reply 1 reply · active 336 weeks ago +5 Vote up Vote down … · 337 weeks ago It’s not called methamphetamine Taylormade. It is called paranoid schizophrenia. If you don’t know “this kid” or his history don’t jump to the conclusion and label him as a drug user. Mental health is no joke and until you’ve walked a mile in someone else’s shoes then you have no right to judge!!! Perhaps we can all just pray he get’s the help he needs!!! Report Reply 2 replies · active 336 weeks ago +1 Vote up Vote down luv2nurse73 · 337 weeks ago Again…maybe you should also go with “if you don’t have anything nice to say…don’t say anything at all”… Your words may not be hurtful to him, but they are to others that love and care about him!!! I don’t make any assumption about your mental health issues…I’m not that person, but your words bring heartache and that’s not fair!!! I have been the mother of a child that was under attack in this comment section and although Mr. Kitch’s mother is deceased, his dad and sisters are not…everyone has a right to their opinion, but sometimes we need to realize that opinions don’t always need to be shared, especially where all the world can see!!! I am studying for my masters in Psychology and actually studied a great deal about this disorder. Chuckie has been in the hospital for his mental illness for the past several month and they released him (by the doctors recommendations and also the local judge.) I knew this was a mistake and the family told them it was a mistake and they “BEGGed” them to keep him, but they would not. It has been obvious that he never did really did get the help that he so desperately needed. I blame the system for this. It was not a matter of “IF it would happen “it was a matter of “When.” I know the woman wanted the the with- straining for. They would not do anything then, because she did not have clout in the area (a citizen is of no impotence) now that it is someone that is suppose to be importance it is now a “BIG DEAL”. It was not a matter of her not showing up to court, Chuckie was admitted to the hospital and after six months of him being in the hospital, he was support to be sane and able to make life on his own. HAHA! It is a wonder someone did not get killed. Don’t blame Charles, he is mental look at the ones with gross neglect. Kitch, Jr., 33, of Wellington accused of the Sunday morning assault on attorney John “Jack” Potucek of Wellington.Spencer said Kitch will be facing charges of aggravated burglary, a felony; aggravated battery, a felony; and possibly the lesser charge of criminal trespass, a misdemeanor.Kitch is accused of assaulting Potucek, Sumner County Counselor to the Commissioners, at his home on north Washington around 8 a.m. Sunday. Kitch is currently in custody at Sumner County Jail with a bond of $100,000 set by the district court judge. Spencer said he will go with the recommendation of the Wellington Police Department. Spencer said he will not divulge any details of the motive at this time.“It is my understanding that subsequent statements were not within the public record,” Spencer said when asked about the motive. “So I’m not at liberty to answer that question.”Spencer said Kitch will be facing a charge of aggravated burglary because he attacked Potucek with a rock in his backyard during a struggle. He is also seeking a mid-level aggravated battery charge in which Kitch acted with the intent to inflict bodily harm.“It is my contention that the man entered the enclosed screened porch for one of two reasons,” Spencer said. “One to either cause bodily harm to Mr. Potucek or two, to commit some kind of theft. There are no other legitimate reasons for him being on the premises.”Spencer detailed the attack which may have lasted in a short amount of time. He said Potucek has a back porch for which there is a door on the south side that was unlocked and a door on the north side leading into the house.Allegedly, Kitch walked through the south door and then rang the door bell. Potucek, 72-years-old, opened the door and was looking at a different direction when the alleged assailant jumped at him from behind. The two scuffled and the fight proceeded to the back yard for which Kitch allegedly grabbed a rock and hit Potucek in the head.“At that particular time, Potucek decided it would be prudent to leave the premises and seek the help of a neighbor,” Spencer said.It was then that Kitch went inside Potucek’s house alone. And it was there that he was eventually apprehended by the WPD. Spencer said he had no idea why Kitch entered the house or if anything was specifically taken.According to Sumner County Court records, Kitch did not have a criminal record. He had charges filed in 2001 but that was later expunged. He was also issued a restraining order in 2012, but that was dropped when the plaintiff did not show up for court.last_img
