FortisBC to supply LNG for B.C. Ferries’ three new vessels
The amount spent on the project remains confidential at this point, but B.C. Ferries has gone on record to say FortisBC provided $6 million in incentive to fund the new ferries.The first vessel is expected to be operational in late 2016 while the other two are anticipated to follow in 2017.As part of the contract, FortisBC will supply approximately 7.8 million litres of gas a year once all three ferries are completed.- Advertisement -B.C.
