first_imgExperts work late into the evening at Letterkenny HospitalENGINEERS are working late into the evening to help prevent a repeat of the Letterkenny hospital flooding disaster.Water which poured into a stream at the back of the hospital flowed away during this afternoon’s downpours.Sandbags have been placed in and around the stream to prevent a repeat of last Friday’s disaster. Forty per cent of the hospital remains out of action as a result of the flood.Today Gerry Adams – who met hospital management – warned it may be a year before the hospital is fixed.Earlier Gardai warned motorists to slow down as many roads were flooded by today’s high rainfall.A shop in Gaoth Dobhair was flooded during one downpour.
