India vs England: Injury scare for R Ashwin ahead of first Test

first_imgRavichandran Ashwin, India’s primary spin option for Tests, suffered a minor hand injury ahead of the first Test between India and England at Edgbaston, starting August 1.As a precautionary measure for Ashwin, he did not take the field on the second day of the ongoing three-day tour match against Essex.Essex finished the second day at 237/5 and trail India by 158 runs after the Men-in-Blue got all out at 395.
